So, why do people call me the Voice of Choice? For one thing, I offer you plenty of choice in terms of repertoire. Though I’m trained in classical opera, I also love musical theatre, cabaret, jazz and pop. From Opera to Abba, if it can be sung, I sing it!

In case you’re wondering, ‘Marika’ is an Austrian name. I am Austrian by origin and bi-lingual, but I’ve lived in London all my life.

 

As for my work to date... I’ve sung the Austrian National Anthem for the opening ceremony of the UEFA Womens Euros 2022 at Old Trafford Stadium, have sung for the Royal Family and have performed at The Royal Opera House, The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Festival Hall, The Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Barbican Centre, Birmingham Symphony Hall, The Emirates Stadium, The Austrian Embassy, The Malaysian Embassy, The Croatian Embassy, most private members clubs in Central London, and countless churches and cathedrals throughout the UK and overseas. Have tonsils, will travel!

 

I started offering my ‘Singer for Dinner’ and Corporate Entertainment packages many years ago, which alongside my Wedding Singer packages won some shiny awards, and was the in-house Opera Singer at Harrods, the world famous Knightsbridge store, from 2008-2014. I’m also an experienced session singer, having been featured on several Hans Zimmer soundtracks as well as the odd commercial (very odd... ask me some time).
